My Honeymoon on the Big Island.

For those of you who know me, I got married about 6 months ago. At least I think it was 6 months ago (honey, please don’t be upset if I got the dates wrong). Well my wife and I never had the chance to go on a honeymoon, but we’re finally taking the time this Saturday. We got one of these Kolea rentals which is located in Waikoloa Beach Resort on the Big Island.

I’ve been to every major island in Hawaii accept the Big Island, so I’m pretty excited. We chose Kolea because it is the only condo complex in Waikoloa offering beach access. So this made it a pretty easy decision.

While we’re there we’re going to be doing some horseback riding plus going on a Big Island volcano helicopter tour with Safari Helicoters. I personally get a little motion sickness, so I’m not a big fan of helicopter rides. But my wife has never been and she wants to go. Plus, as a geology majory (yep, graduated from Occidental College just like our new President Obama), I’ll be able to see the volcano erupting which you can’t do from a normal volcano tour on land. So that will make up for any queasiness!
